The Power of the Wave
Introduction
Currently, the world depends heavily on non-renewable energy sources such as coal, oil, and natural gas to meet its energy needs. However, the utilization of these energy sources has a drastic negative impact on our environment. As these energy sources are non-renewable, they will not last forever. As their supplies go down, they will become more expensive for Electricity consumers and will also have an adverse effect on our environment. Renewable energy sources such as wave energy doesn’t have any adverse effect on the environment and lasts forever resulting in lower cost to the consumers.
What is Wave Energy?
Wave Energy is the Energy in an Ocean Wave. Waves hold in a force that you can feel when you are at the beach or at the ocean side. Didn’t Waves ever push you back? Didn’t the force of water ever hurt you? Well it all starts of with the kinetic energy in the wind which is transformed into waves once the wind hits the ocean surface. Wind energy ultimately forms due to solar energy and its influence on high and low pressure. This is the reason why wave as well as wind power are considered renewable energy sources.
